The following is a short explanation of ‘The Walker’ vision concerning foot disorder knowledge in Thailand.
Even today, Podology is still unknown in Thailand. New developments in foot therapy either don’t take place or go slowly.
In addition the various healthcare disciplines (doctors, specialists and hospitals) rarely cooperate.
The result is; unfortunately we still see old style steel, plastic and thick corks insoles when modern techniques and better
materials are possible! In addition, corrective soles should be used as a temporary appliance, not lifelong, yet corrective soles
are still unnecessarily worn for life even after the ailment has disappeared. It is ‘The Walker’ goal to try and bring healthcare
disciplines together so they can share and acquire from each other as much knowledge as possible.
This can result in combined techniques that will further enhance the correction-healing process.
